Through the SAP Quality Program (PDF, 215 KB), SAP is taking action to work closer with our partners and customers. We want to better mitigate risks and ensure that there are many successful implementations of SAP solutions.

SAP Quality Awards 2008

The SAP Quality Awards recognize excellence in the management of multiple stakeholders and control of joint deliverables. Successful implementations require focus, direction, and setting clear quality standards. This is no easy task and deserves recognition. The SAP Quality Awards celebrate customers that, using SAP's Quality Principles (PDF, 1.4 MB), effectively manage software implementations marked by complex technical and business process requirements.

There are four categories for the SAP Quality Awards 2008:

• Large global programs
• Complex local implementations
• Implementations of new business solutions (CRM, Business Intelligence, etc.)
• Implementations in companies with less than 500 employees

Qualification and Criteria

To qualify, your organization must have implemented (within the last 18 months), or be currently implementing, a SAP solution. A judging panel of qualified partners, last year's winners, business experts, and journalists will evaluate all short-listed customers based the following criteria:

• Visible proof of the 10 Quality Principles (PDF, 1.4 MB) in how the program is managed. Please note that it is your, and not your partner firm's, management that is being assessed.
• A quality plan that includes quality activities in all eight areas of success.
• A formal, documented process that shows how the quality plan is created, updated, monitored, and reported in collaboration with all relevant parties (internal and partner contribution).

Timeline

• January 21, 2008 – Nominations open
• April 18, 2008 – Nominations close. Evaluations of completed nominations begin.
• May 18, 2008 – Short-listed customers present their final qualifications to the judging panel at the SAP offices in Berlin, Germany.
• May 20, 2008 – Awards Ceremony at SAPPHIRE 2008 Berlin. Join us at SAPPHIRE's keynote on day two and afterwards for an exclusive brunch to celebrate your success!
